The appealing features would be its greater durability, reliability, and cost effectiveness. The design of this gear set would result in torque loads being more evenly applied to its various gears and related components than with traditional gear sets, thereby increasing reliability and minimizing its overall size and cost. Its designed would also be optimized to increase its ability to handle fluctuating axial loads, thereby further increasing its wear resistance and longevity.
Production of Special Window Power Accelerator could ombine the use of standard and readily available components, which would simplify manufacturing. In turn, this would tend to hold production costs to a minimum.
Generally, the Special Wind Power Accelerator would be fabricated of machined steel castings, with gears and related components being suitably heat treated. Some components, such as bearings and assembly hardware, could be standard items. External surfaces could feature a painted finish in order to prevent corrosion. The unit could be mounted on a structural steel skid for shipping purposes.
SWPA would be less susceptible to wear, thereby endowing it with a longer projected life and lower maintenance costs when contrasted to conventional utility scale wind generator gear set designs. This could help serve to improve the economic viability of utility scale wind generation farms.
